Calling by Jamz

I discussed the idea for the poster with Jamz, the artist, in a meeting about what he wanted featured on his poster and how he wanted to have it be perceived. During the meeting, we talked about the colour arrangements and the kind of font he wanted on his poster.  I took a variety of photos in the style that the artists wanted, and I choose the best one to fit the artist's vision. I'm pleased with the way the poster turned out because of the contrast of the colours fit quite well with the song and the poster theme. The blue and pink are contrasting colours which are eye catching and I also used a 3 D effect on the typeface. What I could have improved would be capturing the vibe of the song, which is a little more hopeful than the poster shows. The poster looks more downbeat than the song. The pink graffiti on the bottom of the poster was more just to fill the space and balance the colours, but I don't think that it adds that much more to the poster. The poster has quite a block feel to it. In the future I might add other pictures into the poster and add more fades and technique.

Emotional War by Wez

 had a discussion with the artist, Wez to see what kind of photos and what kind of feel he wanted for the poster. As the title is Emotional War, he said he wanted a black, gray and white theme in his poster. Also, when I was researching ideas for his poster, I found his video site which had this look in it. The photo was from his Instagram page because he told me he wasn't avalible for a photo shoot. I look the look of the poster in the monochrome colours and it's aesthetically pleasing.  I used the 3D effect on the typeface to make it stand out more and the graffiti swipes on the side to make the image of Wez stand out more. To improve this poster I would like to have taken my own image and done my own editing on the image. This means that I would have had to work around the artist's schedule, which was very busy and book a time with him.
